OSTERIA WITH A VIEW

The outdoor space becomes a new area in which to live whilst the Milanese rooftops are new spaces to be screened-in. The project by the OBR studio of Paolo Brescia and Tommaso Principi for “Osteria Con Vista” was able to interpret the tradition of the Milan Triennale with a light, rigorous and dynamic solution. The restaurant is conceived as a small greenhouse surrounded by greenery shaded by a picturesque horizontal screen, made possible by eight roller systems capable of covering a depth of 10 metres. Each system consists of a customised headbox unit, with a system designed to allow perfect alignment of all horizontal systems. A design studied in detail – from the materials to the weight of each component – to create a system that becomes an experience between haute cuisine and design, suspended between park and city.
