Resstende is a solid and well organized company (based on the ISO 9000 Quality Management System) with over 30 years experience in the manufacture of roller blinds. Customer satisfaction is our primary concern!

EC Marking

Resstende in 1999 was one of the first Italian companies to apply the EC marking to its motorised blinds. Furthermore, iIn 2005, following the publication of the EEC official gazette n. 26/10/2004 referring to the directive 89/106/CEE “Building Products” and related International Standard CEN EN 13561:2004 we reviewed our whole product range to ensure compliance and extended the EC marking to all outdoor systems. But our commitment does not stop here …  TÙV Group

In July 2006 Resstende obtained the AK certificate from the TÙV Group for its principal blind systems.

In 2011 we revaluated our blind systems and extended the certification to the entire product range on the basis of the European Parliamentary directive N. 305/2011 dated 9th March 2011 that stipulates the use of harmonized product standards and repealed the directive 89/106/CEE – GUUE L 88/5 dated 04.04.2011.

Our blind systems have been designed and manufactured in compliance with the following European directives:

  • 2006/42/EC Machine design (Directive 27th January 2010, n. 17);

  • CPR 305/2011 2011 Building Products; (replaces 89/106/EC)

and according to the EEC standards :

  • UNI EN 13561:2009 External blinds : Performance requirements including safety;

  • UNI EN 13561:2009 External blinds : Performance requirements including safety;

  • EN 60335-2-97:2006 Safety of household & similar appliances.

  • Users maintenance and installation manual, updated 2012. These manuals and technical datasheets of all our systems may be downloaded directly from our website from the section DOWNLOAD.

Wind resistance

A wind resistance class is determined for every outdoor blind system, accredited after strict laboratory testing as specified in the European Standards UNI EN 1932 and EN UNI 13561:2009.

Wind resistance class:
Class 1 = wind speed 28 km/h (beaufort scale 4 – 40 N/m)
Class 2 = wind speed 38 km/h (beaufort scale 5 – 70 N/m)
Class 3 = wind speed 49 km/h (beaufort scale 6 – 110 N/m)

Energy saving

Solar protection of buildings has been considered by the European Government, since 2002, to be an effective method to reduce energy consumption and the green house effect.

The use of a blind results in an energy saving in both the winter and summer seasons. During the winter the blind provides an airtight closure of the window preserving the heat inside the building. In the summer the blind helps to reduce the indoor room temperature by 2-5 °C!

Every fabric reacts differently to sunlight and heat transfer, depending upon the colour, the treatment and the materials used. Choose the best fabric for your application, optimize visual comfort and energy costs!

Fire retardant fabrics

RESSTENDE offers a wide range of fire retardant fabrics for stylish and elegant home furnishings.

As well as being functional and protective, the use of fire retardant fabrics has become indispensible and compulsory for public buildings such as hotels, hospitals, schools, restaurants etc.

Our fabrics have been tested by the Fire Reaction department of the Giordano Institute and approved by the Home Office in compliance to the directives 25/03/1985 and 26/06/1984 (and amendments).

Chain operated blinds – Make them safe!

The RESSTENDE chain operated roller blinds are supplied with an incorporated safety device to protect small children.

We recommend these guide lines for parents and tutors :

  • Young children can strangle in the loop of chains that operate window coverings. They can also wrap cords around their necks.

  • To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of small children.

  • Move beds, cots and furniture away from the blind chain.
