RESSTENDE’S SIGNATURE ON THE SOLAR SHADING SYSTEMS ON THE SIXTEENTH FLOOR OF THE SHARD PALACE, IN LONDON
Twelve new Boston 135 roller systems with Traction Kit D75 are present on the sixteenth floor of The Shard Palace, the building located in the London Bridge district and part of the Shard complex, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop.
He is the architect Jack Carter – Studio Jack Carter Architects, the lead of the multidisciplinary design team that led to the planning and detailed design of the Shard Palace.
Each Resstende systems installed, all motorized, covering a width of 160 cm and a depth of over 350 cm. These are Boston 135 systems mounted horizontally to cover the external terrace, with CT 135 round box in extruded aluminum, consisting of a fixed part and a removable section that can be inspected to allow maintenance of the blind. All the structures are painted in aluminum RAL 9006 and have a rain sun sensor.
Each module is also enriched by the Traction Kit System, the exclusive forced traction device designed specifically for outdoor systems in order to give effective tension to the fabric in horizontal applications. A clean and hi-tech design, elegantly inserted in the context that has been combined with a technical and performing fabric: the Sunscreen Satiné 5500 shading in white / pearl colour.
