Ivo Pellegri Architetto

Lecco, Italy

Architect Ivo Pellegri has renovated the company headquarters of the MFL Group, a firm specialised in the technical production of cables, by means of a concept that, in addition to combining offices and production departments in a single nucleus, had the goal of optimising
the comfort of all the work areas, thanks to the external screening on the continuous facade and to the inside curtains in the various work spaces. In order to achieve this aim, the state-of-the-art sunscreens by Resstende were chosen. In addition to playing a functional role they have contributed towards giving the structure a very strong character.
On the continuous façades, 63 Boston CT135 systems with size 6 cable are combined with Ironscreen metal fabric, “steel curtains”.
Each system is motorised with an electronic limit switch. The motor is a 14 r.p.m. Sun Top 30. Inside, protection against heat and transparency with further brightness control depend on Resstende’s technical materials, such as its white or pearl coloured E-screen fabric.
The 214 free-hanging blind systems installed use 52×66 mm painted iron brackets with extruded aluminium F21 bottom rails.
