In the restyling of the UniCredit Headquarters on Via Fara in Milan, the management of natural light was addressed as an integral part of the architectural design and workplace wellbeing.

Resstende produced 140 automated solar shading systems, installed from the ground floor to the fifth level on the façades overlooking Via Fara and Via Cornalia. The system ensures dynamic light regulation throughout the day, improving visual comfort and the efficiency of the workspaces.

The solution features the F110 system with a pre-assembly profile and an F21 bottom bar in RAL 9010, integrated into a recess clad in aluminum sheet, allowing a discreet installation consistent with the interior finishes. The selected fabric is Sunscreen Satinè 5500 (color code 30027, 4% openness), chosen to balance natural light intake, solar protection, and privacy.

The project was developed by architects Gianluca Lazzati and Nicola Crivelli, in dialogue with the client, with the goal of renewing the building’s image and making the spaces more functional and comfortable.

We chose Resstende for its consolidated expertise and its ability to respond precisely to the project’s requirements. The system’s ease of management, long-term reliability, and the quality of the final result were decisive factors, together with the possibility of achieving an effective balance between brightness, comfort, and privacy.

“In a project such as the UniCredit headquarters, it was essential to develop a solution capable of combining light control, comfort, and architectural integration, contributing to the overall quality of the spaces.”
