Resstende is developing a structured system for compliance with CAM – Minimum Environmental Criteria – and for the preparation of EPD, providing designers, contractors and clients with verifiable data and clear technical documentation for both public and private sector projects.

The project covers four product families: free-hanging blinds, cable-guided and cable-free systems, façade blinds and ZIP guided systems. Among the CAM requirements met are the use of aluminium profiles containing at least 40% recycled material and compliance with performance parameters related to the energy efficiency of the building envelope.

This commitment is becoming even more significant in light of the new European rules against greenwashing, applicable from 27 September 2026. Generic environmental claims, sustainability labels without adequate certification and future targets unsupported by clear, measurable and publicly available plans will be subject to stricter rules, controls and sanctions. Environmental communication will therefore increasingly need to be based on documented evidence.

“This is a cross-functional project carried out together with the technical team, with the aim of establishing increasingly high standards of sustainability, transparency and regulatory compliance,” comments Maurizio Radaelli, Resstende Plant Manager.

“Solar shading systems are a concrete tool for improving the comfort and energy efficiency of buildings,” adds Francesca Fanizza, Resstende Technical Department.
