Resstende contributed to the creation of the brand-new Lighthouse Suite at the prestigious San Montano Resort & Spa in Ischia—a five-star hotel overlooking the sea of San Montano Bay and the Gulf of Naples, nestled within three hectares of Mediterranean garden, amidst hidden coves, vibrant colors, and breathtaking views.
The Lighthouse Suite is a true architectural masterpiece: a space that embraces the sky and the sea through a fully glass structure, where every corner is designed to offer a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.
Resstende provided the ideal solution to shade this space by installing 12 inclined external motorized roller blinds, model DALLAS TKO 135, featuring a black frame and Sunscreen Satiné 5500 fabric in black (code 33006).
This design choice meets specific needs for visual and thermal comfort without compromising on aesthetic elegance. The dark fabric ensures optimal performance even during the hottest times of the year, helping to keep the space livable and protected—fully in line with the resort’s sustainable philosophy.
Specifically, the Sunscreen Satiné 5500 fabric used for the shading is a flame-retardant, particularly suitable for outdoor use thanks to its innovative composition and remarkable durability. Composed of 42% fiberglass and 58% PVC, the fabric offers superior resistance to weather conditions, making it ideal for outdoor applications where durability is essential. With a solar factor of just 4%, it effectively shades light, ensuring perfect visual comfort for suite guests while maintaining thermal protection for the interior.
Additionally, the fabric is GREENGUARD certified—demonstrating its low environmental impact—and antibacterial, making it a safe, sustainable, and hygienic choice, perfectly suited to a luxury environment like the Lighthouse Suite.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the installation stands out for its minimal and non-invasive design, seamlessly integrated into the suite’s architecture. While the shading system is present, it maintains a discreet visual impact, allowing guests to fully enjoy the beauty of the landscape and gaze at the starry sky at night, in complete harmony with the surrounding nature.
This project reaffirms Resstende’s ability to engage with sophisticated architectural contexts, offering cutting-edge technical solutions proudly made in Italy.
